Álvaro is the Global Head of Development at Enerside, where he leads a +7GW renewable energy portfolio across Europe and the Americas.
With 15 years’ experience in M&A, development, financing, and operations, he has delivered over $10bn in large-scale assets spanning renewables, storage, thermal, and O&G.
He has shaped clean energy platforms, including serving on the Executive Committee of one that raised $400m, and has led teams across the UK, continental Europe, the US, and LatAm. His recent focus is on development and M&A within IPPs and private equity-backed platforms.
Álvaro holds a Civil Engineering degree from UC/Cornell University, is a CFA charterholder, and an MBA candidate at London Business School.

Richard Hardy is Project Director at Xlinks, where he oversees the company’s global portfolio of projects that look to generate and move clean, affordable electrons on a large-to-mega scale for impact. Prior to joining Xlinks, he held key roles at KiwiPower, starting as UK Programme Manager before becoming the Growth Strategy and Innovation Champion. Richard drove market analysis, strategic planning, and collaborated with major stakeholders including BEIS, Ofgem, and National Grid. With a master’s degree in renewable energy, Richard has dedicated his career to the global transition to clean power systems.

For over a decade, he has been committed to advancing the global adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures, leading projects across Africa, South America, and Europe.

He joined GreenYellow in 2015 during its startup phase in Brazil, where he was responsible for managing energy efficiency operations. Over nearly seven years in Brazil, he oversaw the implementation of more than 1,000 energy efficiency projects and played a key role in launching the distributed generation division.

Nicolas holds a degree in energy engineering from EPF (France, Class of 2011), is fluent in four languages, and is a Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP® | AEE Center). He is widely regarded as a highly respected executive in the energy sector.

Now based in Iberia, Nicolas aims to leverage the extensive experience he gained in Brazil to develop ambitious projects in Spain and Portugal, and to position GreenYellow—together with Ardian, the Group’s new majority partner—as a leader in renewable energy and energy efficiency across the Iberian Peninsula.

Laura Moreno is responsible for innovationa and projects as par of the executive management team at ENTRA Agregación y Flexibilidad, led by olivoENERGY. She is an energy transition and innovation project management specialist with wide experience in renewable energy and energy communities in Spain and the United Kingdom, and has a proven track record in developing sustainable business models and encouraging citizen participation in the energy transition.

Daniel Roca, Managing Director of BayWa r.e.'s distribution area in Spain and Portugal, has more than 17 years of experience in the renewable energy sector across the continent. Under his leadership, the company has consolidated its position as one of the leading photovoltaic distributors in Spain and Portugal. His strategic vision and in-depth knowledge of the market have enabled him to anticipate key trends and promote innovative solutions for installers and developers.
At Net Zero Europe 2025, he will participate in the presentations ‘The Success Code of Spanish Solar+Storage again’ and ‘Market Challenges for European Solar Distributors: Inventory Management & Pricing Strategies’, where he will share his experience on the growth of self-consumption in Spain and the logistical challenges of the sector in an environment of high demand.

Dhruv Menon is a specialist in cross-border investment, credit, and legal structuring. His core expertise lies in establishing cross-border asset investment and fund deployment platforms for both institutional and private investors across a wide range of asset classes. He is currently spearheading the development of an OECD renewable energy investment and production platform tailored for global institutional investors.

Throughout his career, Dhruv has been instrumental in building and advising several innovative financial ventures. His track record includes the creation of a British SME lending platform backed by institutional investors, a European fintech global invoice discounting platform supported by a family office, and advisory roles for a number of fintech companies in the blockchain and distributed ledger technology space.

With a strong background in investment banking and structured finance, Dhruv has extensive experience in cross-border financing, investment, and arbitrage. He has set up, acquired, restructured, and liquidated over 60 companies and special purpose entities (regulated and unregulated) across multiple jurisdictions. His ability to integrate capital markets knowledge with credit structuring, cross-border tax planning, and regulatory navigation has consistently delivered above-market returns for proprietary trading desks and principal investments.

Anna Casas Llopart is an industrial engineer (UPC) with an EMBA from IESE. With over 15 years in the energy sector, she has worked on the retail side of the business for electric providers and consulting firms. Passionate about energy transition, she now leads demand-side flexibility efforts at Octopus Energy Spain.

Jonás is the Senior Director for operations and maintenance in EMEA & APAC at Recurrent Energy. He leads a business unit of 300 people providing O&M services to more than 300 PV sites summarizing 5GW of power capacity.  
Jonás has more than 20 years working in sustainable infrastructure, from renewable energy to water and wastewater, assuming different CEO positions in emerging markets where growth was boosted through acquisitions. 
Master of Science in Energy by the UPC in Barcelona, & MBA by the “Instituto de Empresa” (IE) in Madrid. He had international education in the Anderson School of management (UCLA) & Private Equity & Venture Capital studies at Harvard Business School.

Stefano Breda is Chief Product Officer at Zelestra, where he leads global strategy for innovative renewable energy contracts, including hybrid solar-wind-BESS PPAs and 24x7 green power solutions. With 15+ years of international experience at firms like AES and EDF Energy, he specializes in energy markets, structuring and portfolio risk management. Stefano holds engineering degrees from the University of Padua and ETH Zurich.

Jorge Arenillas is Vice President of Global Energy Management at Sonnedix, where he leads global portfolio management, contracting strategies, risk management, and market analytics to drive the energy transition.

With over 12 years in the renewable energy sector, he has held leadership roles at Acciona and Cepsa among others, shaping portfolio strategies and market positioning across international markets. Jorge holds an Executive MBA from IESE Business School and a background in industrial and renewable energy engineering. He is passionate about advancing decarbonization through practical, market-driven solutions, helping organizations navigate the evolving energy landscape while maximizing value and impact.

Bhavuk Chugh is the Director of Northern Europe at Centrica Energy Trading, overseeing a renewable energy portfolio exceeding 12GW across UK, Nordics & Baltics. With over a decade of experience in the renewables sector, he has led structured origination efforts at RWE/Innogy Renewables and has executed both long- and short-term PPAs across Europe for wind, solar, hydro, and battery storage assets. Bhavuk is passionate about accelerating the energy transition by enabling bankable PPAs for developers and supporting corporate sustainability goals. He holds a degree in Electronics Engineering and a Master’s in Marketing & Management. Bhavuk is a recognized voice in the industry, frequently speaking at leading energy and sustainability conferences across Europe.

Prior to joining Matrix Renewables in 2020, Sergio was Head of Structuring and Financing at Trina Solar, working in solar PV transactions in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia. Previously he worked for Santander Corporate & Investment Banking, Schroders and Credit Suisse in various roles based in Madrid, Santiago de Chile, London and New York.
Sergio holds a BA in Business Administration from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia and Universidad de Navarra in Spain and an MBA from IESE Business School.

Juan Luis Cantón is Country Head for Spain and together with his team is driving the expansion of the company in the region, a fast-growing market with more than 170 team members and a multi-giga pipeline of projects in development. With more than 20 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, Juan Luis has contributed to the development of the sector by boosting the growth of large German renewables companies based in Spain. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of León, Cantón started his career as commercial director of Tau Solar - SAG Solarstorm Group and has also led the development project of S.A.G. Solar Development & Construction GmbH in Spain and Latin America, as well as the expansion of the business of ib vogt GmbH in Spain. 

David has +20 years of experience in the development, execution, and management of +10 GW renewable and energy storage projects across N. America, Europe, APAC, and Africa. Vetted track-record in setting-up various Joint Development Agreements with local developers and financial investors, closing numerous M&A transactions and USA tax-equity partnerships. Board member of several JV entities in Latam and USA, and for 5 years the President of EASE (European Association for Storage of Energy). Dutch citizen, with on-the-ground working experience in Spain, the USA and Italy, while fluent in Dutch, English, Spanish, and Italian. Currently, as Enel´s Head of Global Integrated Business Development, David is responsible for managing globally the sale of on-site distributed energy solutions for industrial customers.

Carlos Moreira is a member of the Client Solutions management team at EDP Group, leading the areas of global operations in asset management, back office, energy management and customer digital experience.
Previously, Carlos led the smart mobility across Europe and headed the Strategy and Acceleration department, overseeing the roll-out of strategic projects across EDP’s retail business.

Prior to joining EDP, Carlos worked at McKinsey & Company with an industry focus on Telecom. Carlos holds a Master's Double Degree in Management from ESCP Business School & Católica Lisbon, as well as an MBA from Columbia Business School

Erik is an energy risk management expert with 15 years experience in the energy market. Erik works with origination for EnBW in Southern Europe focused on PPAs, BESS and trading instruments. Prior to this he worked at Pexapark where he led the Southern European PPA activities. Erik has worked on assets in SE, FI, DK, DE, NL, LI, PL, ES, PT, CR, GR, IT as well as in the US and Mexico. Technologies include onshore and offshore wind, PV, hydrogen and BESS as well tradeable products and service contracts.

Erik has guest-lectured at Sciences Po Paris and University of Geneva and holds two masters degree in energy from Columbia University and Sciences Po, Paris. Erik has been quoted in media outlets such as El Economista, Montel and PV Magazine.

Jan Fousek is CEO of the Association for Energy Storage AKU-BAT CZ, which supports the development of energy storage, production of hydrogen, flexibility aggregation, building of infrastructure for e- mobility and overall modernization of the Czech energy and industry sector. Jan Fousek acts also as the Chairman of the Board in Solar Association and as the Member of the Board in Modern Energy Union (Svaz moderni energetiky). He has been active in the energy markets since 2007. In the years 2011-2016, he was co-owner and managing director of one of the largest European trading houses with emission allowances and electricity, Virtuse Energy.

Iñigo Viani is a senior executive in the renewable energy sector with a career spanning leadership roles in solar, wind, and energy storage. He is currently General Manager of Qair in the Iberian peninsula, where he and his team established operations, built a 1.7 GW project portfolio to accelerate the deployment of clean energy in Spain. Previously, he served as Head of Europe & Africa at Trina Solar, Vice President of Renewables & Storage at Wärtsiläand Business Development Director at Abengoa Solar. His earlier career in Saint-Gobain’s heavy industry operations and in chemical research at CSIC strengthens his multidisciplinary profile. Mr. Viani holds a degree in Organic Chemistry and studied at IESE Business School

Luis Manuel Santos Moro, Industrial Engineer specialising in Electrical Engineering from the Gijón School of Industrial Engineering of the University of Oviedo and Master in Business Administration from the Instituto Universitario de la Empresa. He is currently attached to the Stakeholders&Public Affairs Iberia unit of EDP after having previously been Innovation Director at EDP in Spain.
He represents EDP in several forums and technology platforms such as the Spanish Technological Platform for Future Networks,the Industrial Competitiveness & Innovation and Technology Working Groups of Eurelectric, and is president of Batteryplat, the Spanish Technological and Innovation Platform for Energy Storage.
He is the Spanish representative in the Green Powered Future Mission of Mission Innovation.

Maria has developed most of her career in investment banking, starting as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Telecoms M&A team, followed by Iberdrola (M&A), and RBS, where most of her efforts were dedicated to finance the renewable industry in Europe. She has also co-founded two startups, 3coma3 and eVoltify, dedicated to clean mobility deployment.
During her Executive MBA studies in ESCP, Maria discovered the impact eco-system, offering her financial expertise to the nascent industry in Spain. Maria collaborated on a pro bono basis with NGOs that were keen on adopting an impact investing strategy, as well as the Spanish Impact GSG and its founding members.
At the same time, Maria co-founded Attalea Partners, a one-stop-shop sustainability and impact investing strategic and financial consultancy firm. From that position, Attalea Partners helped over 40 financial Spanish and EU clients to take responsible investment into action, helping them to create sustainable value through active sustainability management.
Today, Maria is a Director at Holtara and heads its Impact practice. She is also member of the Board of Directors of Spanish quoted company, Grenergy Renovables and member of the Investment Committee of Faraday Venture Partners.

With tireless optimism and energy, she has revolutionized the Spanish electricity sector with her commitment to spearhead the transition towards home energy systems and relentlessly lead the journey of decarbonization for all. Holaluz – a project that began among friends in a bar and ended up disrupting the entire energy market – aims to power the world with 100 percent green energy.
Carlota is an industrial engineer with over 15 years of experience in the electricity sector in Spain, the United States, and Germany. Conscious that the potential of women is often underestimated, Holaluz prides itself on being a 100 percent equal opportunity company and is constantly working to improve the work-life balance of its team. The company has made progress by equalizing the duration of maternity and paternity leave, offering a nursery service since 2015, and enabling quotas in some teams, such as technology.
Mother of a large family, Carlota Pi is passionate about dancing, an activity she commits to religiously weekly. She also likes to ski and read. Above all though, Carlota says the best thing she does is being a mother.

Nick has extensive experience of funding sustainable infrastructure assets. He has led on multiple transactions, delivering financing of in excess of €3bn in renewable energy and bioenergy across Europe.
As Head of Structured Finance, Nick spearheads NTR´s leverage activities and is also significantly engaged in asset acquisition and equity investments in Southern Europe, in particular in relation to solar and storage.
 
He has more than 20 years’ experience in the City of London working for various institutions including BayernLB and Creditanstalt Investment Bank. He was also employed in the UK´s Project Finance unit (Partnerships UK) working closely with HM Treasury and with the environmental agency DEFRA.

Susana Gómez is currently Head of Origination & Producers Representation at Nexus Energía. Susana leads the optimization of renewable generation and storage assets in the markets, PPAs, and hedging with renewable producers. She has extensive experience in innovation project development and knowledge of the energy market as Manager of the Business Development area, where for six years she managed the launch of innovation initiatives and the exploration of new products and services.
Susana holds a degree in Civil Engineering (Ingeniera Técnica Superior de Caminos, Canales y Puertos) and a Master’s in Civil Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), as well as an MBA – Master in Business Administration from the UOC.

With over 25 years of experience in the European energy markets Jens has a deep understanding of commodities such as power, environmental attribute certifi cates, coal and natural gas including LNG along with expertise across the value chain in generation, trading, business development and sales. Jens has more than 20 years of leadership experience gained at Enron, Statkraft Markets, Shell Trading, Eni Shipping & Trading and CEPSA, working in diverse corporate cultures across the US, Spain, Germany, and the UK. Early on in his career Jens developed a deep interest in renewable electricity and how renewables can be integrated in the energy system. An interest he always maintained even in environments where renewables were not at the core of the business. Currently he is interested in demand fl exibilisation, battery storage and making the process of concluding renewable PPAs simpler. Jens is co-founder of AXO Energy which is a matchmaking platform making renewable PPA & BESS transactions faster and more effi cient.

Alejandro is Director of Ecologic Transition at beBartlet, the first public advocacy cabinet of Spain based in Madrid, Barcelona and Brussels. He leads consultancy projects in the energy and industry sector and participates in the main media as an energy expert. He is the former Director of Regulation and Studies of UNEF, the Spanish Photovoltaic Association. He holds an Industrial Engineer degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Master in Power Sector Regulation from ICAI Comillas. He has more than ten years of experience in economic and regulatory analysis of the power sector in Spain.

Tresi Kacadej is a Senior Originator with extensive experience in European energy markets, focusing on structured origination, merchant risk, and flexibility solutions. She has worked across multiple commodities - from power and gas to environmental certificates - developing tailored structures that bridge trading and client needs. Her background spans both trading environments and the renewable development side of the market, giving her a comprehensive perspective on commercial and risk management challenges in the transition toward a more flexible, decarbonized energy system.

Antonio Montoto, Head of Storage – Greenvolt Power
MBA and MS in Electronic Engineer, accumulating 20 years of experience in the renewables sector with a specific focus on Energy Storage for more than a decade, having held key positions in Business Development and Sales in large Multinational Companies like Hitachi EKS, Ingeteam and Siemens Gamesa. 
Currently serves as the Head of Storage at Greenvolt Power, one of world’s leading companies driving the deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems with secured contracts for Battery Systems totalling 8GWh over the next three years, reaffirming its status as a pioneer in large scale sustainable energy solutions.

Catalina has more than 20 years of international experience in business development, strategic advisory, and project management, with a career spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. She began her international journey in Shanghai as a Foreign Trade Consultant at the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, fostering investment flows between Europe and Asia, before dedicating the past 14 years to renewable energy and storage, driving internationalization, market expansion, and strategic partnerships.
Her track record combines legal expertise and commercial intuition to build alliances and mobilize green investment. She has led international market expansion, managed World Bank and IDB–funded programs, and contributed to landmark projects such as Noor Ouarzazate (Morocco), DEWA Solar (Dubai), CGN Qinghai Delingha (China), and the first solar PV plant in Armenia, financed by the World Bank. Throughout her career, Catalina has worked with companies, multilateral organizations, and industry leaders to deliver high-impact projects at the intersection of disruptive technology, innovation, and sustainability.
Currently, as Strategic Partnerships Director at Maxxen, a European storage technology provider headquartered in Switzerland with production in Turkey, Catalina spearheads alliances and growth strategies, positioning storage as a cornerstone of Europe’s clean energy transition. A frequent speaker at global summits, she champions the adoption of innovative and sustainable solutions and advocates for women’s leadership in shaping the future of energy.
She holds a Law degree, a Master’s in International Relations and Foreign Trade, an MBA in International Management, and an Executive Development Program (PDD) from IESE Business School. Multilingual in Spanish, English, Catalan, and German, with knowledge of Mandarin Chinese, Catalina combines global perspective with cross-cultural expertise.

Jorge Andrey Sterner holds a degree in Law and Political Science from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Master’s in Environmental Policy and Planning from the Technical University of Berlin.
With over 15 years of experience in renewable energy, he has lived and worked in Germany, Ecuador, and Spain, focusing for the past decade on energy law and regulation.
He is partner and co-founder of SAMSO, a consultancy specialized in the energy transition, emphasizing legal advice and fair, distributed solutions. Jorge also co-founded the CEEC’s Photovoltaic Working Group and contributes regularly to media outlets through articles promoting energy literacy.
He has delivered numerous talks on energy communities and PPAs for organizations such as UNEF, EnerAgen, and the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia. Academically, he has served as tutor for the Master’s in Renewable Energies at the University of Barcelona and currently teaches the Energy Communities program at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in collaboration with the Catalan Municipalities Association.

María Sansigre embodies two decades at the crossroads of climate technologies, venture capital, and innovation advisory — a hybrid profile uniquely focused on the energy transition. Among other mandates, Maria is currently co-leading the setting up Rumbo Future Climate Tech Transfer fund, a pioneer operational model in Spain to build & finance spinouts developing new generation technologies.

Carmen is the CEO and Co-Founder of nTeaser, the largest digital marketplace connecting developers and investors for renewable energy projects in Europe. With a solid background in energy M&A, she has advised on numerous transactions across solar, storage and wind assets before founding nTeaser. Today she leads the company’s mission to bring transparency and efficiency to M&A processes in solar, storage, wind, biogas and green hydrogen, positioning nTeaser as a benchmark for digital innovation in renewable investments. Carmen has been driving the company’s expansion across Spain, Italy and Poland, while fostering a more inclusive and diverse leadership culture in the energy sector. She joins the Women Leadership Panel to share her experience empowering innovation and guiding Europe’s solar + storage revolution.

Miguel is the COO and Co-Founder of nTeaser, the largest digital marketplace connecting developers and investors for renewable energy projects in Europe. He oversees operations and strategic partnerships, ensuring seamless transactions across technologies and markets, from early-stage greenfield to operational assets. With extensive expertise in M&A and advisory networks, Miguel plays a key role in scaling nTeaser’s impact across Europe, helping the platform consolidate its position as the leading hub for renewable energy projects. Paolo Sammartino began his professional career immediately after completing his PhD in Infrastructure, as head of geotechnical operations on various construction sites for Toto Costruzioni Generali, where he has held the position of Program Manager for renewable energy development since 2007. 
In 2015, he took on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Renexia S.p.A., where he contributed significantly to the company's growth in the renewable energy sector. In particular, he played a key role in the development of the 30 MW offshore wind farm in Taranto and in the development and construction of 112 MW of wind and solar power. 
In addition to his role at Renexia, Sammartino is Executive Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of US Wind Inc., where he has played a key role in promoting offshore wind projects along the Atlantic coast of the United States.

Josefin Berg, associate director in the Clean Energy Technology group at S&P Global Commodity Insights, analyzes the trends and strategies in global renewables markets. Her focus areas include solar and storage demand and forecasts, company strategies, costs and the integration of renewables in the power generation mix. Berg authors reports on renewables markets and trends, and she regularly speaks at industry events. She holds a Master of Science in environmental engineering from Uppsala University, Sweden. She speaks English, French, Spanish and Swedish and is based in Barcelona, Spain.

Tomás García is a Senior Director and the Head of the Energy & Infrastructure Advisory practice in Spain & Portugal at JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle) since April 2020. In this role, he leads the team providing transactional and financial advisory services for renewable energy and storage assets in Iberia. Prior to this, Tomás was the Managing Director of the Solar & Wind Projects business in Spain & Portugal at BayWa r.e. (2019). Prior to this role, he was the Head of Business Development EMEA, Energy Group at Canadian Solar (2017-2018). Before that he served at SunEdison as General Manager, Rural Electrification EMEA (2014-2015) and as Head of Strategy & Market Development EMEA & LATAM (2011-2014). Before that Tomás was Market Strategy Manager at First Solar (2008-2011) and a Strategy Consultant at the Monitor Group (2004-2008). Additionally, he has also worked as a Venture Capitalist, Research Scientist (doing science on solar PV materials), University Teacher and FX Trader. Tomás was a PhD student at Florida International University, earned his MSci at King’s College London and his Masters degree in Physics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He is fluent in Spanish and English and functional in Italian.

Carlos developed the first part of his professional career since 2001 in the industrial sector, related to the manufacture of wind turbines. In this environment, he diversified into project development, where he developed projects in Spain, Poland, Morocco, Senegal, Brazil, Chile, and Mexico. He has developed different roles in DNV since he joined the company in 2008. As a due diligence engineer and wind turbine inspector, he has been involved in the development, financing, assessment, and analysis of renewable energy projects around the world, participating in more than 10 GW wind projects. He led the Asset and Operations Management team and the Strategy and Policy activities in Iberia and Latin America, with a team of 15 people in 4 different countries. His experience in renewable energy spans 20 years with relevant experience in various fields such as the management and operation of wind power plants and power systems in liberalized markets, the development of greenfield projects in the renewable energy sector, the manufacturing of wind turbines, the analysis and evaluation of emerging markets, and the active search for partnerships in international market development.
He has developed the position of Finance Segment Leader of the energy division, and has been in charge of the relationships of major investors, financiers and other financial players with DNV GL. Henrik Tuveson is the Strategic Market Development Senior Manager for Latin America at Wärtsilä Energy Storage.

Henrik is an engineer with 18 years of experience in the energy sector. He has a deep technical background in the research and development of high voltage equipment and systems, including flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS) and high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems. Henrik transitioned from engineering to business development and sales, focusing on high voltage equipment, electrical grid monitoring system, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Lluís graduated as an industrial engineer in 2014 and specialized in applied mathematics for engineering during his master's at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Stefano G. Alberici has obtained his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering at Polytechnic di Torino, after his degree in Nuclear Physics, Milan University.
After his initial career in Nuclear Fusion Engineering, he has diverted his interests towards renewables in 2005, specialising himself on PV module physics and engineering, inverter technology and design, storage applications and strategic usage worldwide. He has worked in UK, Germany, US and Italy. He is currently Director of Energy Storage for HyperStrong, based in Milan, Italy.

Ruud Nijs is the CEO and co-founder of GIGA Storage. He also serves as a board member of ESNL (Energy Storage The Netherlands), demonstrating his commitment to the energy storage sector. His professional journey spans over 23 years in finance and investment, including a stint as Senior Executive Vice President for Corporate & Social Responsibility at Rabobank. Prior to that, he held the position of Managing Director for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at a NASDAQ-listed artificial intelligence company. Furthermore, Ruud has been involved in several impact investing funds across Europe and Africa.

Dr. Roy Hermanns (male) is senior Scientist at the Eindhoven University of Technology. He received his PhD in 2007 at the same university in the Netherlands on laminar burning velocities of methane-hydrogen-flames. After his PhD he started at OWI in 2007 in the area of numerical combustion research. He managed different kind of activities from scientific work to industry related research in the area of liquid fuel combustion and fuel processing on a national and European level. He coordinated several EU projects among them Residue2Heat, IDEALFUEL and HELIOS. He stayed at IIT Madras (India) as a Short Term IGCS Visiting Professor. In 2019 he started as a Senior Scientist at the TU Eindhoven important building blocks of his research focus on the valorisation of the fundamental research, especially in the areas of metal energy carriers (zero emission energy carrier) and hydrogen combustion.

Joris de Hoog is an electronics engineer and obtained his PhD at VUB in 2018 where he was involved in large-scale cell testing and development of various numerical performance degradation models. After obtaining his degree, he moved to the industry, where he gained experience in both novel technologies and project management in a wide range of technical contexts. Joris has a passion for sustainability in all flavors and aims to leverage his role in the Battery Innovation Centre to help build the future of electrification of all things, not only mobility. He works both as a technical project manager and business developer, focusing on the local (Belgian) region.

Stefano N. Granata obtained his Ph.D. in the field of innovative PV modules from KU Leuven, Belgium in 2014. His career is built across the renewable energy value chain: he participated in the industrialization and commercialization of I-BC modules and BESS systems from SunPower (now Maxeon) and ABB, he managed the technical purchasing of around 2 GW of PV components for EDPR and provided expert input to PV-related policies such as the Ecodesign and NZIA for the European Commission. Currently, he is technical advisor at STS Certified, coordinating Technology, Quality, Sustainability and Supply Chain services for buyers of PV, BESS and Wind equipment. He authored several scientific papers, technical articles, patents and conference proceedings.

Yi Peng is a seasoned professional in the field of energy storage system. After obtaining his master's degree from Columbia University, he dedicated himself to research and development in the energy storage industry, accumulating vast experience ranging from back-end development to front-end delivery throughout his career. Currently, he serves as the EU solution team lead for TrinaStorage Business Unit, a vertically-integrated battery manufacturer, with over 1 GWh of delivered storage projects in the European region.

He was selected to represent the United States in the World Energy Council’s prestigious Future Energy Leaders Programme and is an engaged participant in the Economic Club of New York (ECNY). Additionally, Rich serves on several influential boards, including the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) NYC Chapter and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Rich earned his degree in Finance and Spanish from Samford University, where he also captained the Men’s Tennis team. In his personal time, he enjoys playing tennis and golf, as well as reading and traveling. He resides in New York City with his wife  Carly, and their daughters, Mary Haynes and Neilly.

Paul Minjauw is the Managing Director of Eneco Solar. He holds a Master degree in Business Economics and an MBA. Paul has a vast experience of > 30 years in several industries and roles. Tsvetelina Kuzmanova is a Senior Project Manager at CISL Europe – Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, where she works on sustainable finance policies. Tsvetelina engages with EU institutions and stakeholders to achieve policy reforms for increased public and private sector investments for a climate-neutral and nature-positive economy. Her work helps divert capital flows towards assets that contribute to sustainable development. Tsvetelina is also a Member of the Insurance Advisory Panel at the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG).

Prior to joining CISL, Tsvetelina spent seven years working on EU legislation in sustainable finance and financial innovation at different government and civil society organisations. She has also worked on international development projects in Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, specialising in renewable energy and infrastructure. Tsvetelina holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Political Science and Diplomacy from Yonsei University, South Korea.
